CPN (Credit Profile Number)
A CPN (Credit Profile Number) is a nine-digit number falsely marketed as a substitute for a Social Security Number (SSN) for credit purposes, and are often sourced from stolen SSNs belonging to children, deceased individuals, or those with no active credit history. CPNs are typically used to create fake identities, enabling fraudsters to bypass fraud detection systems and making it harder for merchants and authorities to track the individual's true identity.
