Friendly Fraud
Friendly fraud occurs when a customer takes advantage of store policies to obtain a refund, making it challenging to determine whether the refund is legitimately deserved or if fraud is taking place. This type of fraud often involves falsely claiming the product was not received, the transaction was unauthorized, or the item was defective. Wardrobing, Item Not Received (INR) fraud, and chargeback fraud are all common forms of friendly fraud.
