An IP address (Internet Protocol address) is a unique numerical label assigned to each device connected to a network, such as the internet. It can be used to identify potential fraudsters by tracking unusual or suspicious behavior associated with specific addresses, but a VPN can obscure these addresses, making fraud detection harder.
