Third-Party Marketplace
A third-party marketplace is an online platform where independent sellers can list and sell products directly to consumers, with examples including Amazon, eBay, and Walmart Marketplace. Fraudsters and cashout groups often sell stolen goods at discounted rates on these platforms, creating competition for legitimate retailers. On Amazon, if a retailer has an official brand storefront, any seller can offer products from that brand, and the lowest-priced seller ranks highest despite retailer ad spend.
